At Green Lane School, we understand that every family’s schedule is different, so we offer both full-time and part-time program options to fit your needs. Our school calendar follows the traditional academic year, with fun theme days and special activities that make each season exciting for our learners. Families who need extra coverage can take advantage of our flexible before-care and after-care programs, where children continue to play, create, and connect with friends in a caring environment. Drop Off
Drop Off is easy, with a designated drop off spot for each class so you can be sure your child is safely on their way to a fun day.
Time to Learn!
Most of the morning is for learning modules, with daily circle time, activities, crafts, and more.
Nap and Play
Children enjoy lots of outdoor play, snack and lunch breaks, and afternoon nap to recharge little brains and bodies.
Pick Up
Pick up at your designated time and place, and enjoy the hugs and stories about your child's day.
School Calendar
The Green Lane School year typically begins after Labor Day and opens with the First Day of School and our Back to School Night for parents. Throughout the year, families enjoy meaningful traditions and community events, including our Holiday Shows, the Easter Bonnet Parade, Mother’s Day Tea, and Donuts with Dad.
The calendar also includes Thanksgiving Break, Christmas Break, and Easter Break, which are week-long closures, as well as important holidays such as Indigenous People’s Day, Martin Luther King Day, Presidents Day, and Memorial Day when school is closed.
We schedule teacher training and professional development days during the year to ensure our staff remains current and well-prepared.
The school year concludes with special closing ceremonies for each age group, celebrating every child’s growth before we transition into summer preparations.
We open at 7:30 am and close at 4:30 pm. Families select drop-off and pick-up times when enrolling.

Summer Fun!
Our summer program is offered exclusively to currently enrolled families and provides three lively sessions that keep learning playful and fun all season long. Each session features creative weekly themes that encourage imagination, friendship, and exploration. Children enjoy weekly water play days along with special events like Christmas in July, Water Slide Day, bubble parties, and other joyful summertime celebrations. It’s a warm, relaxed extension of the school year where children can stay connected, stay curious, and make happy summer memories.
